Flaviuโ€™s Notes

๐Ÿ—บ ๐Ÿ• Notes at the vanguard of research strategy, innovation and creativity.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Hi! Iโ€™m Flaviu and these are my notes. I write to improve the way I think.

At core, I am driven by joy and curiosity. I yearn to understand the world and then use that understanding to improve it. I am also an intellectual nomad, interested in the intersection of ideas.

Here you will find thoughts on research strategy, innovation and online creativity. For example, I started off with thinking about how to generate new intellectual spaces.

A few times a month, Iโ€™ll post notes on topics that are on top of mind, such as:

  • ๐Ÿ’ก Research strategy: how do we create environments where innovation and creativity can flourish

  • ๐ŸŒ Solving global challenges: climate change, antibiotic resistance. How do we deploy technology to solve these.

  • ๐Ÿ™Œ Online creativity and community building

PS: Hereโ€™s a story that really inspires me

In 1492, Christopher Columbus set out to discover a new route to Asia. In his voyages, he ended up discovering the Americas instead. In 1572, Tycho Brahe saw a new star in the sky: a supernova in the constellation of Cassiopeia. These two events marked the start of an age of discovery and enlightenment. Both birthed the notion that discovery was possible; the notion that we can learn something new about the world.
